President and Partner at Axxess Consulting, LLC.  Kat specializes in accessibility compliance based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA).  Axxess Consulting, LLC provides a wide range of services such as compliance strategies for Builders/Developers, Corporations, and many types of organizations relating to the requirements of the ADA, FHAA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Kat has 23 years of experience in the field of Americans with Disabilities Act, Architectural Barriers Act, and Fair Housing Amendments Act compliance consultation.  Through her years of practical experience she has developed an expertise on the various Laws, Standards, and Guidelines in order to assist her clients to determine which set of standards apply to their particular project based on elements such as funding, facility use and history, and location.  Areas of expertise include the ADA Standards (Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Standards, 1991 and 2010), UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards, ANSI (American National Standard Institute), the Non-Mandatory Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines and the Fair Housing Design Manual (the Safe Harbor).

 Kat has worked throughout the United States and has become familiar with various State Accessibility requirements for a number of client projects to ensure that both state and federal requirements are applied to each project as needed.  Her years of experience include Federal Facilities, Department of Defense, Educational Institutions, State and Local Government and Private Sector projects in the areas of Hospitality, Retail, Commercial, etc. where her role was to determine which standards to apply, ensure that design documents and project manuals adhered to all applicable accessibility requirements prior to construction, and to provide assistance throughout the construction phase to ensure that buildings and facilities were constructed to meet the accessibility requirements.
